How can you easily delete a large group of messages that are on the GD mailbox? This is a 3G NAM. Hope it's something simple.

Thanks darnold@americaii.com

No way to do it as far as I know. You have to kill them one at a time. Had to do 3100 one time here. Much fun!!!

yeah there is now way, you have to do them one at a time.

Hey Gator, Did you delete all 3100 or have your admin assistant do it for you????

Hey guys c'mon.

There is a way to delete all the messages in the GD mail box at one time...

Just do a restore of the CDB.

You're welcome.

You're right ARR, I read the question wrong. I thought he wanted to delete mailboxes, not messages.

I'm lost! Restore of the CDB? What's the CDB?? MRoberts

MR, Hawks,

Sorry... CDB - Customer Data Base. I made the incorrect assumption that a NAM was the Vmail unit. Tbe restore won't work for a Flash of course. I was making a rather weak attempt at humour v.s. fact... doing a restore on a NAM would only be indicated if the crisis were dire or the voice anouncements and mail boxes were few.

Umm no... although the thought raises interesting possibilities on this forum. Hmmmmm

Perhaps start a thread on networking Star Talk Flashes together using the second port and a roll over cable...

or connecting an ATA to the headset port on a phone to provide remote access....

:)

Or perhaps connecting two CICS switches together using the IATA ports off of both switches??? I been meaning to try that little test. One call at a time but maybe it could be done.
Analog port to line port and back again? MRoberts

Way Cool...

Wonder how bad that would scramble the software... leaves me wondering, however, what would happen if you connected two station ports but reversed the cabling as in a roll over cable... would the B2 channel read the B1?

Evidentally a little basic electronics is in order......lol darnold@americaii.com
