Deleting from Blackberry shows as read in Deleted Items folder

It seems that if unread spam messages are deleted from the Blackberry (and also set to delete from the mailbox as well), the items show up as read in the deleted items folder on the Outlook mailbox. Would be optimal if these messages show up as unread.

Has anyone else encountered this and if so what was the resolution?

I have just tried it on my 6750 and the deleted message goes into the Deleted Items folder in Outlook and stays unread.

Messages Options are:

Deletes On: Mailbox & Handheld
Wireless REconcile: On
Conflicts: Mailbox wins

I also have my BB set to delete without confirmation, all other options are set to "Yes".
