Deleting clients from the sms server

All,

we are currently in the development and packaging stages of our project. this means that we are building machines all the time with new names. becasuse of this the client list in sms is huge but only a small percentage of the client listed are still there. is there a query or tool that will allow us to batch delete unwanted clients at the moment it will only allow us to delete client induvidually

well you could have all the "to be deleted" clients in one collection, make that by importing a txt file to a collection using makecoll.exe, the perform a delete special

Delete All Resources in a Collection

Note You must have Delete Resource permission for a Collection security object to delete the resources in that collection.


Navigate to Collections.

Systems Management Server
Site Database
Collections

Right-click the collection that contains the resources you want to delete, and then click Delete Special.
To confirm that you want to delete the resources from the SMS site database, click Yes.
The resources in the selected collection are deleted from the collection and from the SMS site database.
