I'm having trouble deleting all the cache memory in my computer.. Our company site was down for a couple of days, therefore, when we tried to access it, it said "page not found".. now it is back up and i still cannot access it, but ppl outside can.. I tried refreshing millions of times.. and i also went to internet options and deleted all the cookies and files.. even the offline content.. but can't seem to get in... I had to goto a subdirectory of the website in order to see it... Please.. any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks..

Tools--Internet Options

Go to the "Temporary Internet Files" section on the "General" tab. Click on the "Settings" button and make sure the option button "Every visit to the page" is the selected one. Then click "Ok" and "Ok" again.

Now try opening the page again and see if that works.

Thanks.. tried that..but still not working.. =/

After searching it seems that what Mithrilhall said is the only way to clear the cache for your browser unless you purchase specialised software like Internet Eraser. It seems that something else is causing the problem, not your cache.

I'm having problems with saving favorites in IE5. When I go to save them a folder appears with Save In c:\Recycled. Is it pointing to the Recycled bin on the desktop?? I can't find where this directory is located so I can delete it. Can anybody help please??

You would have to click on My Computer, click on Tools, then Folder View and select show hidden files and folders and then you should see it in your root directory.

dfgu, Are you on a LAN? Have you tried to ping the site from Command prompt?Ping both the alias and IP address.

I've tried pinging the site.. and it wont ping for some reason.. And yes.. I am on a LAN... the strange part to me is that one of my servers is able to get the site and all the others plus the workstations are not.. I'm not sure why is that.. and I know for sure that we all get internet access and every other site works. Im very confused right now.... any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks..

would i have to do with my router?

The only possible thing that comes to my mind is that your website might be cached in the local servers.
Clear the server's cache or add a couple of lines to the home page and upload the new file, so the page would be changed and wouldn't be read from any cache.
