I am picking up mail from a POP server using Mail:OP3Client and converting it to a proprietory format so it can be picked up by a piece of local software on my server. Though some of my domains are pretty obscure and don't have webpages those fun loving virus distributors still manage to find them. Now the use these domains are put to is highly specialised and there is no legitimate reason for any mail with attachments to be received on them. I therefore want to delete any and all attachments before resaving the email. I have looked at the various MIME modules and I may be being thick today but I couldn't see how to do it. To save attachments to preserve them yes (-and that looks to be a lot of work), but not to rid myself of the wretched things. So I am looking for a straightforward solution that will examine the $body (the body of the email) determine if there are attachments and if so remove them.
