I am using a software program that uses standard crystal reports. I can copy and edit them but need to remove an output field and am unable to. The report I am running gets duplicate records because of this field. Is there some way that I can do this?

Thanks.

Please give a few more details, including your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. And whatever it is that won't let you remove the output field, which is never a problem in Crystal itself.

Ok thanks for the info. I assume it is a constraint with our software program then. I am using Crystal 11.

You get duplicate records either because the records are actually in the database or its joined wrong.

you can do a group by the field if it turns out the data is repeated in the database and you don't need to show them all. you can show either one figure or total the repeated recs if needed. hide the detail and show just the group total line with the data.
