I'm having a little trouble with what I would have thought to be quite obvious.

I'm using master pages with 2 page spreads. When I delete page 10, all the pages thereafter now show the original master template behind it.

Is this normal? I also want to insert a page soon, will this cause me more trouble :S

Thanks

Not sure exactly what you mean?

Do you mean that when you delete a LH page, all the pages after that have the wrong master (i.e. the next RH page had LH attributes?)

If so, you could try dragging the RH or LH master page over the pages you want to change in the palettes menu.

I don't know if there's a shorter way to do it, though.

I can appreciate I'm most probably not making myself clear, because im fairly new to this package.

I've looked through loads of online forum, tip-sites and e-books, but nothing seems to cover my mistake..

For each page, I have heavily edited each of the master templates, (i.e. txt, titles, and partical layout). So when I delete a page, from thereafter all the pages feature the original template behind my pages (including Lorum ipsem txt).

See link:

Thanks for the help.

I admit I'm not sure. You could try setting up another master page that's empty (apart from page no's etc if you want to keep those on) and then drag that over the pages affected (as I described before). This will get rid of the items on the master page you don't want.

Probably a better way but in the meantime this will work.

I guess the best thing to do it to override each page, removing the connection with the master page, and then doing what you suggested, replacing it with a blank master page.

Sad but true, I think this feature has let the package down. All I wanted to do was delete a page, not reconstruct the catalogue. :s what do I sound like...

Thanks for your help, its been much appreciated.

You don't have to "remove the connection with the master page" – drag your new blank master over the affected page/s in the palette and it does it for you...
