I've recently inherited administration of a Sharepoint server - just before i took it over, a workspace (called 'Dev') was created and subsequently deleted.

The 'Dev' workspace doesn't show up in Sharepoint administrator (from where it was deleted i presume) - or in the Sharepoint directory, but it shows up on the default Sharepoint webpage where you choose your workspace, and as a virtual directory under the default web site.

How do i delete whatever traces there are left of this workspace??

The problem is, that the Sharepoint server keeps crashing - the error in the eventvwr before it does freeze up is:

Event ID: 24583
Failed to Upgrade workspace file//./backofficestorage/localhost/Sharepoint Portal Server/workspaces/Dev. The error code returned was 0x80040e19.

I have read MS article 318837, service pack is totally up to date (Sharepoint SP2a) - server is still freezing up & deleted workspace is still there.

Any ideas?
