A GFS pool was deleted but the tapes weren't un-assigned first. I can't seem to find away to make them assignable again...they are in the tape library but they are not available to add to the new GFS pool.

Running arcserve 2000 sp4

any suggestions?

Does the new Media Pool have the same name as the old one?

You should be able to assign the media via the Media Pool window. Expand the view for the media pool and right click on Scratch Set. There you will find the option to assign media.

Its a new name. The tapes from the old name are not listed in the scratch pool, save pool, or available in assign option.

The tapes will have to be erased. The problem is that they are now seen as part of another media pool and so not available to be assigned to this one.

or just get rid of this new pool and create another one with the same name as the original.
