Deleted Mailboxes Still Appear

[ACORNINC]

We are running Exchange 5.5 SP3. Some mailboxes have been deleted in the past and still show up in exchange under mailbox resources. If I go to view properties or anything to do with the mailbox, I get the following error:

The object cannot be found in the directory. This may be because replication was not completed.
Microsoft Exchange Directory
ID No: c1010aae
