Deleted mail returns

Microsoft Exchange 5.5 NtServer 4.0 SP 5 with approximately 43 users.Users can send email and internet mail.

Here is the problem: Several users including myself have used the delete command or icon (X) to delete email from their inbox or Sent box. The deleted item then goes to the Deleted Folder. When we delete from the Deleted folder - the item goes away.OK so far. A few minutes later the item is back. It takes several times to delete the item.

All my options for deleting mail seem to be ok, along with archiving options.

Could be a synchronization problem, especially if you have been fooling with the folder settings.
