Deleted Items in XP

OK, This is stupid, I know.

I was setting up a laptop this morning to synchronise files with my server and make them available offline. In the middle of the process, I deleted some files from what I believed to be the laptop........they were from my server.

As a result, I have deleted about 6 months work in 2 minutes.

I use XP Pro on the server and laptop, and have tried searching for the files maually, haven't found them.

I am at my wits end, and would appreciate any help.

Is there a Recycle Bin on the server that might have caught them?
