Deleted Items folder in Outlook 2007

I'm heading over to a client's later this week to look at an email issue. She uses Outlook 2007.

The client has an IMAP email account that is provided from another company.

She deletes email and it is gone forever, there is no Deleted Items folder for her to click.

She wants that folder.

Is this an Outlook thing or something to do with the company providing the email service? There are some other people in her office who use the same email provider but use a different Outlook '03 and she says they have the folder so I'm leaning towards some type of setup/config error.

If other users of the same IMAP mail service have a deleted items folder, I sould expect her to as well. A simple refresh of the folder list will probably make it visible again.

Deleted Items is an Exchange provided folder. Not Outlook.

I'm having a similar issue with Outlook 2007 and Cyrus IMAP. When I delete an item, it goes away. It doesn't go into the deleted items or the trash folder. There must be a simple fix for this.
