I have recently had to format my hard drive because of NT blue screen problems. I access an AS400 via Client Access Express. I am using MSACCESS and link to AS400 databases via ODBC and it works fine except in one query where it selects fields of valid data as "#Deleted".

On other PCs in our office the display is OK.

Can anyone help?

Go into the ODBC administartion option in the client access express group and find your link. Edit it and check the translation parameters. I have found that it has to be set to translate. This solved a lot of problems for us. For some reason it is set to default to not translate.

Thanks for the advice - unfortunately it did not work. I went to the ODBC drive, selected configure and selected the translation tab. There was a box "Convert binary data (CCSID 65535) to text" which I checked. I ran the query again with the same result.
