Deleted Global Preferences Plist

I was deleting plists on my mac os tiger yesterday. and when i rebooted today my internet will not launch.
so my mac mail doesnt work either.

How can i fix this or can it be fixed?

Open System Prefs and check Internet and Network to see that it's set right. Then open your mail program and check accounts, etc for things like pop (incoming mail) and stmp (outgoing) server info, etc.

Using OSX 10.3.9 & 10.4.11 on a G4, G5 & Intel Macbook

i had to type in my ip address etc. under network preferences. and now i am back online.
