Deleted GFS Job

We use Arcserve 9, and whilst removing some merge/restore jobs the other day I accidentally deleted our main GFS backup job.

I would have dived right in and recreated it, but we have a years worth of GFS rotation/serial number data that I don't want to mess up by creating a new job.

Does anyone know a way to restore a deleted backup job, or create a new one that uses the same GFS media pool?

We take a backup of the arcserve database with every backup, but doing a "Recover DB" doesn't seem to bring back the job.

Help appreciated!

Job files are stored in the 00000001.qsd directory, no job information in database. You have a backup from that directory?

If you do have a backup of the directory then
stop all ARCserve services
close the ARCserve Manager
replace the current qsd directory with the restored one.

Deleting the job would not delet the queue, so when recreating the job just specify the old Media Pool.

I have tried it and in BAB version 9, it is not possible to use an existing Media Pool when creating a new GFS enabled rotation job.
(In version 11.1 possible)

Choosing an existing Media Pool results in a warning message asking if you want to use a different Media Pool name but clicking NO lets you use the same Media Pool.
