Deleted folders in Outlook keep reappearing

Hi,

My MD has Outlook 97, he has got his mailbox set to syncronize with a personnel file so he can read his mail offline. In the last week or so, he has noticed that 2 folders he deleted were reappearing, at first I thought he had accessed his offline mail and it hadn't sycronised yet, however this was not the case. Anyone any ideas?
