I am very disappointed with the manual for
backup exec and the veritas "support" pages.
In creating "disaster recovery" backups it
seems apparent that my cd-rw drive is not
handling the 700MB discs well. Veritas software backs up about 740MB and then gives
the "deleted block" found error and is unable
to finalize the disc.
Can partial backup discs wherein portions of
up to 650 MB on a 700 MB disc be used in con-
junction with the disaster diskettes created
by backup exec, OR must the entire disk be
filled up?
I am not going to buy a new drive just to
deal with 700MB discs and use Veritas. I will
go to some other program before I do that.
Veritas manual is no help, nor is their web
page. Can you spell s-u-pport (your products)?
Also what's with this facist format wherein
you MUST use Veritas Backup Exec to read the
disc after backing up? Is there a work around
to this.
