IE6/WinXP SP2.

I deleted all my cookies, using IE6 -> Internet options -> General.

Now I can login into any site, e.g. Tek-tips, in-line banking, &c. except AdobeForums.

I have repaired/re-installed IE6 using IEFix and the WinXP SP2 pack as per the page in the MS Support KB.
but the problem continues.

There is no AdobeForums cookie in Temp I'net file folder, so it would appear it can not been written for some reason.

It has been suggested that it could be something to my ADSL provider's proxy or cache, but I can login using Mozilla Firefox without any problem. So I consider the problem to be local to my installation of IE.

I am waiting for a reply from AdobeForums.

Any ideas where I should look?

Thanks, Bill.

All my IE settings are as recommended on that KB page. I re-logged into WinXP as the administrator/another user and the problem occurs there too.

sfc /scannow completed without any error message, and I temporarily disabled the software firewall but without success.

It seems this (non) login loop is not unknown with Adobe's Web Crossing software, so hopefully they'll get back to me in the next couple of days.

Ironically it was deleting all the cookies (as suggested in the KB page) that caused the problem.

just re-register on those sites you used to use; that will put another cookie on your machine and cure the porblem.

some sites put a tracker in your registry as well to identify you.

never delete all cookies some are good and need to be present to visit a site, especially secure sites.

Firstly, that doesn't work either, and secondly, I have on-line editing rights attached to my existing account so it is important I can login.

I have no problems using Firefox, only IE.

a freewqare utility that allows me to specify cookies to leave alone during a cleanup.
I already use Advanced UninstallerPro from Innovative Solutions -

AdobeForums have sorted it all for me.

They did some behind-the-scenes jiggery pokery with what they had recorded as my ISP's proxy server IP address. I can't say I fully understand it, but normal service has been resumed.

Thanks for all your help.
