Deleted 1 user from GW5.2 and possibly NW4.11 - need him back!

Hi All,

I have managed to delete one user from Netware4.11 and from GroupWise5.2. I do have a tape back up from yesterday (not including todays work!) How can I go about restoring one user?

PS It looks like the GW server is only backed up weekly

You will have to recreate the user Netware and Groupwise. Netware 4.11 data shouldn't be a problem since it's only data.

Groupwise on the other side, is a bite more complexe. Recreate the user and you have to restore the entire Post office (PO) and connect to that PO with the user account that was deleted. Then you have to archive everything.

With the gwafe510.exe program (can be found on

http://www.novell.com),

you will be able to transfer is archive from his old ID to his new one.

And with is new account, you'll be able to point the transfered archive and recover the mail.
