How can i delete a value in a variable? Im trying but it does not let me. I have 3 different Holiday variable tables, the first 2 were only referenced in one script each, so i deleted the whole variable and rebuilt..the third one though is referenced in 30 scripts! All they are is dates,i can change a value, but i cant delete it. When i try to delete a value it tells me "Invalid Value" . The book i have references some attributes tab.. i dont have that option, the books are not for 5.0 they are 3.0, i tried to find a sccs 5.0 scripting guide on the Nortel site..only found and M1 scripting guide and that one too says something about attributes tab?

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

Can you clarify what your goal? Are you trying to take the variable out of the referenced scripts? A variable has to have a least one value (date) in it.

Im trying to remove vaules from the variable, the variables have many dates in there..more dates than holidays.. when i got here last year i just changed the dates to a date that had passed so i would have a year before i had to worry about it...well were about to upgrade so im trying to clean up what i can... the 2 i did clean up now only have 1/1 and 7/4 in there..the third variable has 15 dates in there... its not a huge deal.. but i thought it would be simple enought just to delete the values and start over.

Ok, I am assuming you are using classic client. When you double click on a script variable it opens up in the General tab. Click on the Attributes tab (upper left).

In the List of Values box (lower middle) highlight the value you want to remove and click on the Remove button. I tried to post a .jpg file as an attachment. I'm not sure it worked, but the script variable dialog box really hasn't changed in classic client.

Is this Scripting Guide (Nortel Networks Symposium Call Center Server for M1/Succession 1000) you mentioned?

Should be the correct guide, page 106 states there is an attibutes tab and how to delete values.
When you at the same time try to add a value make sure the value is in the proper format: <mm>/<dd> (e.g. 9/1 = Sept 1st)

Thank you both for responding,
Utger..That is the guide i found, but mine does not look like pg 106, I did find this.....

(thin client)To remove a value from a script variable

On the server tree, double-click the server containing the variable you want to modify. The server expands to reveal a series of folders.

Double-click Script Variables. The script variables tree appears.

From the script variables tree, click the script variable you want to modify. The Script Variables window appears, listing the variable’s properties.

In the list of values, highlight the value you want to remove.

Click Delete on your keyboard. The system deletes the value from the variable.

Attention: Click the Delete button in the Script Variables window only if you want to delete the entire variable.

Click Apply to save your changes.

This is what i have been trying, but it keeps telling me Invalid value when i try to apply after deleting.
any ideas??

I have just gone ahead and removed the variable from all 30 scripts..deleted the variable. rebuilt it and put it back in the scripts. That was the only way it wouls work.. A pia but Hopefully the upgrade will address my problem, thank you again for responding.
Happy New Year.
