Is there a way for the url history (from the address drop down list) to be deleted automatically when you exit IE 6. I have the history set to 0 days, but still every address typed in shows up in the next session even when IE has been closed and reopened.
Thanks.

That gets rid of them temporarily, but after I type in some more and then exit IE and go back in the newly typed in addresses still show up. I need something that gets rid of them each time I exit IE. It's for public pc's in a library and patrons don't want other patrons to see where they've been.
Thanks.

You would have to write a wrapper around IE and control its invocation. There is not a native feature within Internet Options to allow this.

Okay. Call me stupid, but, huh? Would you be able to explain how to do this?
Thanks.

The above could be adware though, I don't know. Maybe try it on one machine first.

That and another program I found there work great. Good site to bookmark. Thanks very much.

You might also check into a program called Tweaki, from JerMar Software. Gives you incredibly fine-grained control of IE, Office, security, etc. For $19.99, I don't know of a more powerful, stable or easy-to-use Windows tuning/tweaking utility.
