Delete title box-Powerpoint default

How can I set the default Master slide in PowerPoint to NEVER have a title box or text box on any slide? I have managed to set the Blank presentation to come up with no title (just a white slide is what I want) but when I select Insert - new slide, the new slide has the title box and text box I struggled to get rid of.

I've never found a way of changing the default open but I'm sure there must be a way.

A work round, get layout exactly as you want and choose save as and save as a template (.pot) and save in templates folder.

Then when you start powerpoint click file new and your template should be listed.

I presume that PP use a template file and it will just be a matter of finding the right one to change the default open.

OK finally sorted it.

Does depend on version of office your using.

Start powerpoint and click file new this should show you a brief list of templates and one should be labelled 'blank presentation' or 'blank' (if you select it you should get the default you don't want). Make the changes you want i.e. paper size, no title box etc. then choose save as and in the save as type choose template (pot) and type name same as the blank template. Save the file and then whenever you open powerpoint you should have exactly as you want

One other thing if you find the default view with the slide list down the side and the notes bar along the bottom you might find this addin interesting

I have changed both Blank.pot and Blank Presentation.pot. Both are like I want them. But when I click Insert - New Slide, the new slide still has the titles on it. Where is it coming from? I have searched my system to make sure there isn't another blank.pot hiding somewhere else, but all copies and shortcuts have no titles.
