Hi,

Somehow, a system restore point got infected with a trojan.

I need to delete this system restore point.

How do I go about doing that?

It says the file that is infected is located in:

C:\system Volume Information\_restore {insert long alpha numeric string here}

Thanks,
Sharyn

Delete them all. Restore points are only valid in sequence, so even if you managed to remove restore point B in the sequence ABC, the restore point C would no longer be valid.

right-click My Computer, Properties, System Restore, and check the box to turn off System Restore. Say OK to any message. Now repeat the process and turn it back on.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.
