delete related fields

Again the search is down.....
Thanx in advance...

i have a master table (Initial assessment)with a child table (patient). Im enternig data into a form derived from a query from both tables. if i use delete record on the tool bar it deletes the record from the child table but not the Master(however the record cannot be seen in form view)
i have ref integ, cascade deletes etc checked..any help?/ i dont want the master table left with bits of records

From what you are saying, you should not be having a problem. Anyway, show us the code; perhaps we can help.

By the way, logically, wouldn't the patient info be the master table (each patient is unique) and the initial assessment be the child (lots of patients could have the same initial assessment)?
