Can Inactive Inventory items be deleted from company DB, Majority of these items has historic transactions.

Backup database

Typically the recommendation is to use the Item Number Change (after performing a backup) to change the number to something that can be easily excluded from reporting ranges. e.g. Item A11030 to ZZA11030. Then you can run reports on inventory from item {blank} to ZYYYYYYYYYYYY and see your active items. If you need to access history then you can still get at it.

Option two is to combine (using item number change) all inactive items into the same item number.

Otherwise you can purge the history for the items and then delete the inactive items from your database. Purge carefully. Or merge and purge (using option two).
