Not sure if this is correct place to post.
I've recently started the imap service on redhat7.3 running sendmail8.11.6. Up till now have run pop exclusively. Imap seems to work fine; exception being I can't actually delete emails - just shows an strikethru.
I am using outlook 2000 sp3 for client.

Help?

Keith

I'm not sure this is the correct place for this answer but if you purge your mailbox, the messages marked for deletion will be wiped out. It works kind of like the trash bin.

For Courier-IMAP I have used the following param. for IMAPD:

IMAP_EMPTYTRASH=TRASH:7, SENT:30

Pretty much self-explanatory.

Cogito Ergo Sum - Non Compos Mentis

In IMAP you need to "Expunge" or "Purge" deleted messages. IMAP does this as a precaution to say in a sense "are you absolutely sure you want to delete this message".

There should be a Purge or an Expunge button in Outlook somewhere
