Delete Extension

We had an employee quit on us last week. I would like to delete his extension because he is still getting at his extension. I would unplug phone but Im guessing that extension will still be recieving messages from outside people dialing his ex. And while I'm asking this question how would I re-activate that extension if we hire someone to fill his position?

You will want to delete this extension from VOICE MAIL and/OR the Voice Mail cover group.

Do you do the ADMIN of the System/Voice mail?

-OR- You could renumber the extension to something different, but that could bite you down the road.

I am the only person willing to try to work with the phone system. Is there a way I can just the extension? How would I get the extension back if we fill that position again?

The simplest way to remove an extension is to disconnect the telephone (unplug and remove the telephone).

If you want to remove the extension's voicemail box, you would need to log into the voicemail as the Admin and follow the prompts.
