I am having trouble with an adware file that contains a virus. I have removed it from the registry, but it comes back. Also I cannot delete the exe file because it says the source file is in use. How do I delete this file??

What OS are you running?

And please provide some info re: this malware.

you can use Process Explore from SysInternals:
You can use Process Explorer to kill the process by taking note of the filename and location of the file that you want to delete. After killing the process, you can proceed to deleting the file. However, take note that these malwares usually adds entries to the registry in order to execute everytime the system starts. To remove this registry you can use HiJackThis to look for the auto-execution entries and delete them.
