Hello Chaps,

I'm running outlook 2007 in a vista system, and i've just imported all my mail off my notebook using a PST file.

After running a quick send/recieve i soon realized i'd been leaving copies of mail on the server, my desktop has now downloaded them and i've got about 3000 duplicate mails from the past year.

Any easy way to delete all the duplicates, i've googled for a while but everywhere seems to think that i need to download an additional app, which i'll have to pay for.

Thanks,

Rob

This is the first thing that comes to my mind, but make sure the conditions are right first. Rather than remove the duplicates, why not remove them all & get them again? This might work as long as you haven't changed the 'leave on server' settings yet and if you can easily "see" the duplicates. If everything (or nearly everything) is duplicated, just click to highlight the first message, scroll to the last message & hold the shift key while you click the last message to select everything. Then, if there are some that are not duplicated, hold the CTRL key while clicking those to remove them from the selected list. Then delete all the selected items. When you download your messages again, you will only get the 1 copy of each message.
