I have a client that has a .pst file of 1.2Gb (yes..Gb!) but the majority of the messages are duplicated. Apparently some helpful person was trying to reduce the message file size but wound up doubling it!

My question is - is there an easy way to remove the duplicated messages, apart from manually deleting them one by one?

OK - found the answer. As usual it's quite simple when it's staring you in the face!

All I need to do is export the Personal files and set the "do not export duplicates" button. Then delete the .pst file and then import them back. Simple huh?

Better give my client a call - he might be nearly finished deleting them manually!

Cheers,
Brodie
