Is there a sys database or view in Master or MSDB that will let me know when a database was dropped?

I see it on the 8th and now it is gone. Someone dropped it in between. and i want to find out when.

I guess there is a chance it was dettached too, so any ideas on that too.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Not specifically unless (if you have 2005) you had a ddl trigger set up. Look them up if you're on 2005 as they can be very handy for auditing this kind of thing in the future.

In case it was detached, do a file search on the server where it used to be. Search for *.mdf files (all files with extension mdf). Look through the list to see if you find the one you need.
