This works in 2003 so hopefully it applies as well in 2000.

[li] Have your calendar in view[/li]
[li] Go to Tools>Find>Advanced Find[/li]
[li] Make sure that 'Look for' is displaying 'Appointments and Meetings' and that 'In' is showing Calendar.[/li]
[li] On the advanced tab, click on the Field drop down list and select the appropriate field from the Date/Time fields submenu. You probably want start or creation.[/li]
[li] Set the Condition to 'on or before' and enter your date into the 'Value' text box.[/li]
[li] Click on the 'Add to List' button.[/li]
[li] Click on the 'Find Now' button.[/li]
[li] Select all the items in the results pane.[/li]
[li] Hit the Delete key - or Shift-Delete if you want to bypass your Deleted Items folder.[/li]
