delete border from a cut out image

I have an image of a circle which I have cut out, the background was blue so now I have a faint blue border around the circle which I want to get rid of, whats the best way to do that?

Try using a brush that is the same color as the circle. In the properties section, check 'preserve transparency' and paint over the edges.
