Hi,

I have automated Acrobat using VFP9 SP2, for example for creating a pdf, printing and merging. Is it possible to automate removing all blank pages from a pdf?

Regards, Gerrit

hallo Gerrt,

yes basicly it should be possible. Question is how.
Please show us your coding whith which you are creating the PDFdocument.

Hi Jockey,

We use PDF document from all possible sources, created with Adobe Acrobat, scanned documents (using EZTwain), downloaded documents, etc.. In my application we combine a bunch of PDF documents to a single PDF.

When creating a PDF I first create a PS file, then convert to PDF with Distiller. This works fully automated (written in Visual Foxpro 9).

So far I solved the problem by calling a program called TiffPdfCleaner with command line options from my application. This seems to do the job (now testing).

Regards, Gerrit

Gerrit,

The question might be, why are you getting blank pages in the first place. The second question might be what constitute a blank page?

Hi Mike, Hi Markros,

The empty pages can come from anywhere. As I said we combine pdf's from many sources, not only pdf's the customer creates. Som pdf's containe empty pages.

With berezniker's pags I can delete a page. How to detect if it's empty by automation?

Regards, Gerrit
