I'm testing backup/restore for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS) using the embedded SQL Server database.
I successfully backed up the farm to D:\SharePointBackup.
Now I want to delete the backup by using a link to a vbs script I found in a MS document titled "Data protection and recovery for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 in small to medium-sized deployments". I believe the script should work for WSS.
The script takes two parameter: number of days (integer) and a string named strTOCFile.
I executed the script like this: DeleteBackup 8 D:\SharePointBackup
but get a Windows Script Host message box with this information:
___________________________
Line: 31
Char: 1
Error: Access is denied
Code: 80070005
Source: msxml3.dll
___________________________
Line 31 is: objXML.Async = false
I am in the administrator group on the machine. Can anyone help? Is my second parameter wrong?
I've included a url to the MS script.
