Is there any way to delete multiple anchor points with this tool?

Remember this is different than hitting the delete key on them. When you delete with the key it removes the vector. The tool does not.

Other than clicking on each one in turn, I don't think so.

As an alternative, select your points, then go to Object > Path > Simplify.

If you don't need the new path to be similar to the original, you can always just delete the points, then select the two new end points and go to Object > Path > Join (or Average, then join, depending on what you're trying to do).

Thanks, I'm using a vectorizing tool and it sometimes makes too many points/anchors on straight lines.

Every other option to remove them is too slow.

Try using the 'Direct Select Lasso Tool ((Q). Not sure what version that came in on.. 9 maybe? I

Then you can just lasso the points you want.

Hope thats what your looking for..

Cheers
