Is there a way to delete a subscribers voicemails from the server without removing and readding the sub back? I was thinking of using a pop client do pop them out, but I figured there has to be another way.
This is for an intuity box.
Thanks

clear AMW all <ext nr> from the definity console should do the trick.

I tried this and it removed the message-waiting light, but it did not clear out the messages in the voicemail box.

I performed the command: clear amw all 3333

Is this correct?

The above command will only clear the message lamp. It does not erase the messages. You can delete the mailbox and re-install it to delete all messages. It will ask your if you are sure you want to do this first.

This is the only way I have found to do a bulk delete.

That command will only clear the MWI. This is so you can remove the station, if you haven't removed the subscriber. To remove messages, I would think you'd need to log-in to the sub's mbox... Not sure though...

Thanks,
Chris

To remove messages do 'change subscriber xxx' and go to the second page and make it so the messages will be saved for only one day. Then the next day, change it back to the class of service that it was before. U can check to see if all the messages are deleted by doing 'display activity xxxx'.

P.S. For the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx system & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Be aware that if u don't answer a question, I usually will not continue to help u. Please leave a post on how u fixed the problem too.

another way is to use an email client like outlook or outlook express, and pop them right out of there.

Do a 'status audit' after changing the retention times on the second page of the subscriber mailbox to 1 day. This will at least delete voicemails older than one day.

I know this is off topic, but:

How can you direct your voicemail to your outlook client?

Avaya told us that we couldn't do this with Intuity, we would have to upgrade to Modular Messaging for this feature.

well, assuming your intuity box is on the network, just set up a pop client. Your incoming pop3 server is the ip address of the intuity, outgoing does not matter, just put anything. Username is the extension, password is ....well...the password.
