Delete a record in field that is still used

Hi,
In my main form I have a bound combo box that has a list of employees who have completed a project. The list of employees are in a separte table.

Want I am trying to do is, how can I delete an employee who is no longer with the company and removed from the combobox list?

However, whatever project they have completed, they are still displayed in for that record. Not to get any access errors.

I thougth I would mention that there is a simple form with the employees that can be added into the list. That is where the addition or deletion will take place

I think the best bet is to use a deleted flag. You can then use a query for 'live' employees.
