Hey guys, I've got a bit of a strange one here. I've tried talking to Microsoft's premier support, and although I haven't given up on them yet, I figured it can't hurt to try to get some input from some knowledeable people who deal with this in the real world.
Here's my setup :
NT4 Exchange 5.5 email server
clients : Outlook 2000 or Outlook XP
The CEOs of my company do not manage their own appointments, rather they have someone who manages them for them (these people are delegates of the mailbox, and also I believe users on the mailbox permission wise). Lately we've been having strange reports of problems where the appointment is set up by the delegate, and the times are correct. Later, the appointments change times and are wrong. This is especially occuring with recurring appointments that are supposed to happen at the same time every week indefinatly. The complications to this are not few, as the owner of the mailbox often not only has a laptop that he takes home (getting him off synch with the exchange server) but also a pocket PC which contains the same information. He sometimes makes changes to things while un-synched, and it's obvious to see how this can be confusing to Exchange. However, the specific problematic time changing appointments have not been touched by him.
Have you ever heard of this problem?
Also, sometimes when a delegate cancels a meeting, HUNDREDS (literally) meeting cancellation notices are sent to everyone on the meeting list. Why does this happen? Thanks!!
