Delays In Conference Bridge Announcements

I have recently added the ability for our IP Office version 11 VM Pro system to announce conference bridge participants (using the whisper function). Representative images of the callflow module and whisper specific configuration are included below. Everything works fine, but there is a long pause after the caller records their name (in the "Ask Name" function) and they are actually attached to the conference. In addition, and more importantly, there is a long pause after the "nowjoining.wav" is played and after the name recording is played. We have the user press the # key after recording, hoping that would cut it off when done. What is controlling these pauses, and is there some way to eliminate them?
