When I try to change URLS (down arrow into history) on my IE6 browser it pauses for 8-10 seconds before allowing me to select another site. I have deleted the temp internet files and still have the problem. Any ideas?

. How many days of history are you keeping? It may be that the file is too large to handle speedily. Try clearing the existing History with the Tools, Internet options menu.
. It is possible the index is corrupted. To "fix":
Log on as Administrator and delete the desired <username> folder and reboot.
(or log on as another user that has Administrator privileges)
Example: Delete "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY"
XP will recreate this folder and the index file when you restart.
