Delaying windows start up after AC in and server reboot 2

We have 3 servers conected to our UPS and all have their BIOS setting to boot on AC in.

Due to network mounts, we would like to delay the booting of two of the servers so that the main server has time to prepare it's shares.

Is there a way of delaying Windows startup after restored AC power in?

If it's an APC UPS, when power comes back on it's going to restart all the outlets, so no. You would have to do that manually as far as I know.

Why not use a batch file creating the shares again?
Run it at startup, add a sleep timer for xx seconds and make all the shares again.

If the main server was up and running in time, the shares will already be active and otherwise, they should be now.

If you are using an Eaton Powerware, or an Eaton MGE, you can build batch files to control the order of turnup of each individual plug on the box. It's a key differentiator between the Eaton products and the APC's.

It's a great feature for servers, as you can do a controlled shutdown, and a controlled power up, in the order you choose.

Or, you can turn off certain plugs when power outages are found to conserve energy to critical equipment.

If Windoze doesn't do it, there are UPS products that will.

YOu would have to do this through you computer. The UPS regardless of what brand, does turn on one plug at a time. Its either on Inverter, bypass or off. UPS' are an all or nothing type of device.
