After setting up File Archiving using KVS Enterprise Vault, the backups on the file server started failing when it tried to backup the share were the files that had been archived had been. In event viewer there is the error "Delayed Write Failed". Also the Server locks up and needs to be rebooted. The media server is using BackupExec 9.1 SP4 and the NIC drivers are current. The same for the File Server. I dont believe the errors to be related to the File Archiving. I did add a registry key after the jobs started failing thinking it could be related to BackupExec not supporting the offline attribute and was trying to recall archive files. This didnt help either. The Servers are Windows Server 2003.

You tried stopping the FSA service and run a backup of the share, just to make sure it isn't EV.
Are you using AOFO on the file server? maybe try turning that off.
