coustomer has a partner 11 ,with expansion cab rel 4.1 software stand alone partner vm.

we have 6 extensions programed with delayed ring for VM overflow whats happeing is these extensions occasinaly ring once then vm picks up . dosnt happen all the time just occasionly

ever run into this , any thoughts ?

customer does say it seems to be after they have been busy I thought at first that maybe all vm ports were busy ,it was ringing phones once then VM port was clearing and answering but customer says they hav gone to phone room right after it happens and only one vm port is lit.

You might want to check that no one has programmed the Auto Attendant feature #607. This is sometimes mistaken for the voicemail AA.

the most common thing that I forget is that a Partner phone's ringing isn't turned off. You can program immediate or delayed in the AA, if immediate the Partner phones that you haven't had line ringing off will still make a quick ring. Sometimes I get lazy and just turn ringing off on the first few ext and forget others and this ringing happens. Also, I forget to turn off ringing for all the lines when I add a line. Remember when you add a line you need reset ringing to off on all telephones. I think when I'm on site that the AA is answering so I forget to turn ringing off and then the customer calls our office.

franke no 607 is not enabled thanks for the tip though

inla I have done that also but not in this case

when you go to programing these ext are deffinatley set up as delayed ring and they work that way most of the time

its just a intermitent thing . they are keeping a log for me as to lines ,ext and times and trying to see if I can isolate it to a 206 module

Could it be a bad voice mail card? I had a problem once where the vm would go off hook and dial. I caught it by watching the LED's on the vm cards and then monitoring the port that was going off hook.
