Hi all.
On Thursday of last week, we started noticing that messages sent to our Exchange 2003 server are being substantially (sp) delayed or not delivered at all. In some cases, the log shows a time out, in others the log (inbound SMTP) shows that there is a connection made, but the email is not being sent to the approriate email box (on the secondary exchange server) So, the emails come into our main exchange server and is routed (or supposed to be) to the secondary server via the Exchange routing service.
Also, there is a specific domain that we cannot recv email from at all. Again, the log shows that the other server is connecting, with the EHLO, but the message seems to stop there.
I have looked at all the restrictions, filters, etc and even placed the server on the DMZ (for approximately 5 minutes) to ensure the firewall is not blocking traffic). I have turned off the anti-virus and the program 'SpamFighter) to ensure the messages are not being blocked.
Thanks for your help. This ones really got me stuck.
