Delayed or One way speech after 5.50J upgrade

Hello all,
I have a customer with a CS1000E that was upgraded from 4.50 to 5.50J with CPPM. This is a small site (70 phones)The day after the site was upgraded...they began having intermittant calls where the called party can't hear the calling party for about the first 18-20 seconds of the call...once it cuts through you can talk all day without issue. This happens on internal calls extension to extension as well as trunk calls. We have a Nortel case open and have taken several sniffer traces from the set as well as the sig server.You can see where the stream is opening late...anyone ever seen this?

Hmmm stream opening late ... interesting.
A couple things to check:
DX30 and CEMUX cables from the MG to the Expander Chassis (if you have such) Those are unidirectional cables and need to have the end that is labeled "to expander chassis" going to the expander. This can cause one way audio, other intermitent issues and dropped calls.

You can try 3VCE on your T1 Loops as I have heard of just VCE causing one way audio.

Other than these, start checking codecs and bandwidth.

Lastly, if it isn't anything above we did have a strange issue here where upgrading our Network core switch caused our TPS signalling to not work properly. So, it could be something with the Network IOS having issues with UDP.

Just some thoughts. I don't wanna waste you time on a wild goose chase. These seem valid things to check.

Interesting I have a Opt 81 on 5.5J
System type is - Communication Server 1000M MG/CP PII
CP PII - Pentium II 266 MHz
RELEASE 5
ISSUE 50 J +
We have same issue but it appears only on one phone at a time and then it wanders around can't find it as users just don't think to report it until its not happening anymore on there sets. Curious to find out answer on this.
