I have the auto attendant answering immediately, but now the customer wants a delayed answer capability.I'm working with 4 digit numbering plan so the vm cl grp is 2570 & the overflow I created is 2571. 2571 overflows to 2570 time based delay 5sec & number base is 99 the grp is auto login.I tried creating a vmailbox in audix 2571 as I would have in merlin messaging but no dice. I've got to be missing something for this not to work. The customer is hammering me to get this done. Please help ASAP

Thanks, Dan 8

What extension is the attendant currently? That's where it should overflow. Do a list sub and see what extension is currently the AA.

Instead of 2571 overflowing to 2570 I NEED to change 2571 to overflow to 2590, which is my day auto attendant. Should 2571 be created in audix at all.

I'm not able to use the auto attendant 2590 as the overflow group, it won't accept it. The 2590 (auto attendant) is a subscriber within the Audix, and so it is currently a member of the 2570 group... it seems odd that I should remove it and attempt to make it a group on its own. Am I misunderstanding something?

I know there's a solution to this, but overflowing to the auto att isn't accepted by the switch. Even though it was looking for grp cl grp, qcc,& LDN, It didn't like the ext of my auto att 2590.
I really need to get this resolved asap. Any help would certainly be appreciated.

Here's the way overflow works

You have a Calling Group, and it overflows to the VOICE MAIL Calling Group, where it is answered by a mailbox with the same extension number as the original calling group that has overflowed.

So, you say 2590 is the extension number of your Auto Attendant "mailbox".

You need to renumber the extension that is currently 2590 to something else. Then you can renumber an unused calling group to 2590, and overflow that to the Audix calling group, 2570. When the call gets there, Audix will know to answer with "mailbox" 2590, the Auto Attendant.
