I know that this may be covered in this forum but does anyone know the best way to set up delay ring to a merlin mail 3.0 in a Legend ver 7. I have the calling group as 770 and I set up cover group as 30 and then group calling for 770 as 30. Then I set delay ring to 4 in group coverage delay. It still will pick up after 1 ring unless I set the voice mail to delay answer which also affects the vm key I set up on each extension to access their mail box with. I am familiar with many phone systems but a novice at Merlins. Any help would be appreciated.

If I understand you, you want the Automated Attendant to answer incoming calls on a delayed basis?

Legends are strange creatures, but there's usually a way to do it. Here's how:

Use another calling group, no extensions assigned to it, and have it overflow to the voice mail calling group (770). Assign the lines to this new group. Make a mailbox with the same extension number as the group, and point it to the auto attendant.

Now, incoming calls are "ringing" in this group, and after a time delay they overflow to 770, which answers with the auto attendant.
