Delay ringing on station appearances

On a new install the customer is going from a key system to a OPT11C and will have a 5 extensions appearing on about 75 phones that hunt up the keystrip which is what the incomming calls are pointed to. The problem is they want to have those extensions ring on about 10 phones and if no one answers after X number of rings start ringing on about 30 of the other phones while still ringing on the first 10 phones. Then after that if no one answers have the call go to the auto attendant. This is so &*$%ed up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tell him he should have keep the key system. He could use an ACD setup but it wont give him what he wants.

I know, trying to tell people THIS IS NOT A KEY SYSTEM is like talking to a wall.

I FOUND THE ANSWER!!!!!! I don't know if it does this on 2000 series sets but on the 3900 series sets there is a prompt called DNDR right before the Key data. This is for DN Delay Ring. If you set a 3900 series set to SCN XXXX and the DNDR to 0 then it will not ring but if you set the DNDR to a number then it will wait that number of seconds before it starts ringing. I found this out by helping a fellow vendor with a 3900 series phones would not allow SCN they would just ring anyway. Hope this helps someone.

Found out this also works on 2000 series sets. Not sure what software version it started at though.
